Grand Whisky Sour Cocktail

Cocktail recipe
Grand Whisky Sour Cocktail

The Grand Whisky Sour Cocktail is a twist on the old classic. The secret ingredient Ive added here is Grand Marnier, plus a touch of orange juice.

My favorite whisky to use in cocktails is Elijah Craig, a small batch bourbon from Kentucky. Grand Marnier is an orange liqueur which blends fcognac and bitter orange to achieve its distinctive flavor. It is quite sweet so the Grand Whisky Sour does not need much additional sweetener. These two links are from a great liqueur store out of San Francisco called BittersandBottles which has a great online store that I order from, especially hard to find liqueurs. They have quick delivery and I can usually find what I am looking for.

This Grand Whisky Sour Cocktail is my spin on the old classic form over 300 years ago  and it still stands up! Serve this cocktail at your next soiree along with these Frico Cheese Crisps, it is a terrific pairing.
